Aurora is a challenger bank targeting millennials and Gen Z in the MENA region. We were engaged to design the full product experience — from onboarding to daily banking — with a focus on transparency, speed, and emotional design. The result is a system that makes personal finance feel personal.

What we set out to do.
Challenge
Challenger banks in the MENA region have struggled with trust. Users default to established banks even when fintech offerings are objectively better. The design challenge was building a product that communicates competence and trustworthiness without feeling corporate or cold.
Solution
We created a design system built around "confident transparency" — every number, every fee, every action is surfaced clearly. The color system uses deep navy as a trust anchor, balanced with a vivid teal for positive moments (payments received, savings milestones). Microanimations reward engagement.
Result
Aurora's beta launch saw 14,000 signups in the first 48 hours. The onboarding completion rate hit 87% (vs 54% industry average). The app was featured in Fast Company's list of most innovative fintech products.
The design work was transformational. They didn't just make it look good — they made people trust it. That's a completely different skill.
