FAQ

Everything you've wondered about working with us — answered honestly.

What types of clients do you work with?

We work with founders, creative directors, and brand teams who understand that design investment pays dividends. Our clients range from seed-stage startups who need their first proper brand identity to established agencies who need specialist motion or print production. The common thread is people who care about craft quality.

Do you work remotely or do you require in-person meetings?

We work with clients globally and are fully set up for remote collaboration. Discovery workshops and major reviews work well over video call (Zoom or Google Meet). For clients in Dubai or London we're happy to meet in person for the initial brief — it's often worth the time for complex projects.

What is your typical project timeline?

Timelines vary by service. A brand identity system typically takes 4–6 weeks. A UI/UX design engagement runs 6–10 weeks depending on scope. Motion projects range from 5 days for a simple logo animation to 6 weeks for a full explainer video with custom illustration. We'll give you an accurate timeline in your proposal.

How does the discovery process work?

Every project starts with a 60–90 minute discovery session covering your goals, audience, competitors, and current position. For brand projects this is a structured workshop. For digital and motion projects it's a brief review and technical requirements discussion. We send a discovery questionnaire in advance so the time is spent on insight rather than information gathering.

How many revision rounds are included?

Revision rounds depend on the package, but the Sprint tier includes 2 rounds of revisions and the Studio tier includes 4. Revisions mean structural changes to the direction — minor copy or colour tweaks within an agreed direction don't count against your rounds. We'd rather spend time getting it right than counting rounds.

Do you offer ongoing retainers?

Yes — we offer monthly embedded retainers starting at 20 design hours. Retainer clients get priority scheduling, lower hourly rates, and a dedicated Slack channel. If you have ongoing creative needs that don't fit project-based engagements, a retainer is almost always more efficient.

How do you structure payment?

Standard project payment is 50% on contract signing and 50% on final delivery. For larger projects (over $10k) we can split into three milestones: 40% on signing, 30% on concept approval, and 30% on final delivery. We invoice in USD, GBP, or AED.

Who owns the final work?

On final payment, all intellectual property transfers to you — 100%. We retain a non-exclusive licence to display the work in our portfolio. Source files are included in all packages: AI and PDF for brand work, Figma files for digital, AEP for motion. We don't hold files hostage.

What happens if I need to pause or cancel a project?

Life happens. If you need to pause, we hold your slot for up to 30 days at no charge. If a project is cancelled after work has begun, you pay for work completed to that point based on an agreed hourly rate. The initial deposit covers the first phase of work, so it's non-refundable but also not at risk of being more than you've received.
