Editorial

We design print publications that communicate authority — from the weight of the paper to the rhythm of every paragraph.

The craft of print

Digital-first thinking has diluted print design. Margins are too tight, grids are ignored, and typography is treated as decoration. We come from a tradition that treats editorial design as a discipline — where every decision from baseline grid to gutter width is intentional and communicates as much as the content itself.

We work with organisations that understand the impression a beautifully designed printed piece creates. An annual report that's genuinely pleasurable to read. A product catalogue that sells before the sales team opens their mouth.

Method

Our editorial process

  1. 01

    Content Audit

We review all content, images, and data before design begins. Incomplete content always delays projects — we handle this upfront.

  2. 02

    Grid & Structure

The baseline grid, column system, and master page hierarchy are established and approved before page design begins.

  3. 03

    Layouts

Section by section, page by page. We design a representative spread from each section type and review before extending across the document.

  4. 04

    Refinement

Full document review, proofreading pass, image quality check, and typographic refinement.

  5. 05

    Pre-Press

Pre-flight, preflight report, and press-ready export. We coordinate directly with your printer if needed.

FAQ

Editorial FAQ

Can you manage the printing as well?

Yes — we have established relationships with premium commercial printers in the UK, US, and UAE. We can manage the entire print production process including proofing and delivery.

Do you design in InDesign or Affinity?

We primarily use Adobe InDesign CC for editorial projects. For clients who need Affinity Publisher source files, we can accommodate this but it requires scoping upfront.
